General Ledger Maintenance

A clean and accurate general ledger is the backbone of every successful business! While a Bookkeeper can handle most aspects of the accounting cycle – wouldn’t you prefer an accounting department with a team of professionals to maintain your general ledger and prepare your financial statements?

As an outsourced client, your accounting team, comprised of a Bookkeeper and a Controller, are always monitoring your company’s financial transactions and making the necessary entries to your general ledger. Where we differ from what an in-house bookkeeper normally performs; we go several steps further than the basic bookkeeping, for a cost LESS than employing an in-house Bookkeeper.

How It Works:

  • On a daily basis, your Bookkeeper analyzes and enters data from documents provided by you.
  • At month end, your Controller steps in and performs a detailed review of every entry the bookkeeper has made. This ensures accurate posting of all transactions.
  • The Controller performs account reconciliations against your bank and credit card statements to verify accuracy of monthly data.
  • Adjusting entries are made to finalize the books and then a month-end “close” is performed, each and every month!

Financial Reporting

All too often, we hear business owners do not fully understand the full financial strengths and weaknesses of their business. They may not be receiving reports on a timely basis to assist in managing the finances and growth of the business. If this sounds all too familiar, then you need our help!

How It Works:

  • Every 30 days, we perform a thorough “close” of your books and records.
  • We take that information and compile detailed informational reports that tell you what is going on with your business.
  • We send you a monthly reporting package, and schedule a conference call each month to discuss and review the data to pinpoint strengths and weaknesses of your business. We make sure you understand the data and what it means to you.

  • Balance Sheet
  • Profit & Loss Statement (Monthly and Year-To-Date)
  • Statement Of Cash Flows
  • Accounts Receivable & Payable ‘Aging’ Reports
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Job Costing & Profitability Reports (when applicable)
  • Custom Reports specific to your business and industry
